We’ve had an interest in Model Railways for over 45 years.

Out of this passion, Microbuildings was formed in 2013 to develop a range of high quality modelling supplies to the hobby.

Our Team:

Designing our Kits

Tristan is our designer, he uses CAD to produce the buildings in miniature that you will see on many layouts around the traps. He has been drawing both freehand and CAD for over a decade now. He uses photographs and measurements of 12″=1′ buildings to get an authentic feel for the models.

Marketing and Artwork

Jamie is our Graphic Artist, Quality Control and general doer to make sure that the kits fit together. He looks after building the prototypes and making the instructions for the packaging of the kits.

Finance

Julene looks after our money, and keeps us all on track to make sure the kits get to market.

We are always building upon our catalogue of kits as variety is the spice of life.

The quality of the kits produced by our team is reflected in the way the kits go together, with minimal adjustments, and are ready for installation on your diorama in a very short time. When you look at our instructions, with photographs of each step of the construction process, we think you will agree.

Our Gear

A medium size commercial laser machine is used to cut and engrave our plywood into the forms of the kits that we produce. Our primary business name is Chilli Laser Engraving. Chilli Laser Engraving manufactures a range of items such as illuminated signs, speciality products and also Custom designs.
